When Prahran’sHanoi Hannahstarted bursting at the seams, it was only natural that the team behind the Vietnamese eatery should open another kitchen (and later,Tokyo Tina), too.

Dubbed as Hannah’s “slightly more mature yet promiscuous older sister”, Saigon Sally offers locals a more refined selection of Vietnamese-influenced dishes, without compromising on affordability and fun.

Saigon Sally celebrates shared food, often with a modern twist. Think banh xeo (a DIY, prawn-and-pork taco version of the Vietnamese pancake) and pungent lamb ribs with fennel, star anise, oyster sauce, orange and lemongrass. More classic dishes such as rice paper rolls and fragrant curries are well-presented and benefit from high-quality produce.

With a live dessert station in action, the glamorous tira-mi-sally (Vietnamese coffee ice cream in a coconut macaron sandwich) promises happy endings for all.

Prop up at the bar to enjoy over 50 varieties of wine and a selection of Asian-style cocktails, or hold your base at a table for the evening in the shadow of the wall mural by artist Michelle Lee.
